KACO-error codes

Below you will find a list of common error messages from various brands. Not all error messages are listed here. It is advisable to also consult the manual of the device.

KacoFS 10In case of overheating, the inverter switches off. Possible causes: • Excessively high ambient temperature • Fan covered • Inverter defective.Check the inverter for heat build up or blockage of the cooler ribs and rectify as required. If this does not correct the problem, Contact inverter service
KacoOS 11Power limitation: If the generator power is too high, the inverter limits itself to the maximum power (e.g. around noon if the generator capacity is too large).If problem occurs repeatedly, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 17The activated grid and system protection has been tripped.If problem occurs repeatedly, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 18Residual current was detected. The feed-in was interrupted.Contact inverter service
KacoFS 19There is an insulation fault on the PV generator. The feed-in was interrupted.Please check the DC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 30The current and voltage measurements in the inverter are not within acceptable range.If problem occurs repeatedly, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 32The internal grid separation relay test has failed.If problem occurs repeatedly, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 33The DC feed-in has exceeded the permitted value. This DC feed-in can be caused by grid conditions and may not necessarily indicate a fault.If problem occurs repeatedly, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 34A communication error has occurred in the internal data transmission.If problem occurs repeatedly, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 35Protective shutdown of the software (AC overvoltage, AC overcurrent, DC link overvoltage, DC overvoltage, DC overtemperature).Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, Contact inverter service

KacoFS 58The temperature inside the unit was too high. The inverter switches off to prevent damage to the hardware.Check the inverter for heat build up or blockage of the cooler ribs and rectify as required. If this does not correct the problem, Contact inverter service
KacoFS 59A fault occurred during a self-test.1.) Switch off device with DC disconnector. 2.) Wait until the display has turned off completely. 3.) Switch on device with DC disconnector. If this does not rectify the error, Contact inverter service
KacoOS 60The inverter does not begin feeding into the grid until the PV voltage falls below a specified value.Please check the DC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, Contact inverter service

KacoOS 63P(f)/frequency-dependent power reduction: Frequency-dependent power reduction will be activated when the BDEW (German Association of Energy and Water Industries) Medium Voltage Directive goes into effect.
